We’ll be honest with you. No matter how awesome you thought Kansas City Comic Con was this year, it was nowhere near as awesome as our experience as the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! We saw so many friends, hosted some panels, and bought a lot of swag. Julius Caesar could easily have been talking about our time at KCCC when he said, “Veni, Vidi, Vici!”
So, we are going to start rolling out the audio of our panels beginning next week. Before we do that, we wanted to present some interviews we did at our table over the weekend.
- First is an interview with Tim Benson from OmahaBound. Tim is putting together an incredible show called Panel Exploration, which will be September 15-18, 2016, in Omaha, Nebraska. Panel Exploration will be taking a look at comics as fine art, and taking an in-depth look at how comics are put together. Guests attending the show include Stan Sakai, Phil Hester, Eric Gapstur, and Jeff Koterba. But that list is not done. Tim makes a special guest announcement during our interview! We could tell you right here, but we would rather you listen to the podcast. We’ll drop one hint – the new guest announced in the interview shares a name with one of the Worst Comic Podcasters. Make your guesses now and check out the show to see if you are right.
- Next, we interview the artists that sat alongside us all weekend. Diana Kresge and Hannah Holmes were incredible neighbors, and their art is spectacular. Seriously! You need to check out their art!
- Finally, we interview Eden of Eden’s Supergirl Swag Rags. Eden was a VIP guest of our friend, Elite Supergirl, and got to experience everything that went on this weekend at KCCC. Eden was taking donations of bandanas, as well as selling some, all to benefit the kids at Children’s Mercy Hospital and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As the con wound down, we spoke to Eden and Jessica about their con experiences.
As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show.
